Instant Vortex Plus 6 Functions
Instant Vortex doesn’t really have presets. It insteads focuses on features that emulate different kitchen appliances. This makes it easier for the model to do more than fry, but some people might prefer presets as they are easier for cooking common dishes.
The Instant Vortex features include:

While this does offer fewer functions than Cosori, some might like how they completely change how the air fryer functions. It’s more versatile in terms of a kitchen appliance, but it is a little more complex to use. At the same time, picking the right time and temp for meals is quite easy regardless of which function you choose.
Instant Vortex vs Cosori Air Fryer Max XL: Power
One of the most disappointing things ever is using an air fryer for the first time and getting soggy results. You want your food to be hot and crisp. While some models have unique features, such as Instant Vortex including EverCrisp cooking or Cosori being made specifically for crispiness, one thing you want to check is the power.
An air fryer with low power isn’t going to cook food well. You want at least 1000W, but even that’s a little low. The best air fryers are above 1500W, and don’t worry, both of these deliver.
Our Cosori Pro I vs Instant Vortex review is a tie here because both of these models offer 1700W of power. That’s more than enough to get true fryer crispiness. Plus, as we said above, both of these were made specifically for crispy food.
We can’t say that one was better than the other in terms of crispiness. However, Instant Vortex was better when it came to broiling and other functions. That aside, it’s a tie between these two.

Cosori Air Fryer Max XL vs Instant Vortex: Size
This is one of the biggest air fryer considerations you need to make before choosing a model for yourself and your family. The size dictates how much you can cook at one time. You don’t want a small air fryer that only serves half your family because then you’re stuck cooking in batches. At the same time, you don’t want one that’s too big because then you’re paying for a bigger model that you don’t need.
It’s nearly a tie here, but there is technically a winner. However, the margin is so small that we didn’t notice a huge difference between them.
The Cosori Max XL is a very spacious 5.8 qt air fryer. However, Instant Vortex has it beat by being a 6 quart air fryer. It’s literally a 0.2qt difference between them. That’s about as small as it sounds.
While Instant Vortex can cook a little bit more food, we can’t say it’s a major difference between them.

In terms of size, Instant Vortex won by the smallest margin. They are also identical in terms of power. While Cosori has more reviews, they have the same overall rating and Instant Vortex is newer, so it hasn’t had as much time to amass a following.
The major differences we found were in the functions. While Cosori has many presets that make it easy to cook meals, Instant Vortex prioritized changing how the air fryer functioned. It can be an air fryer, broiler, dehydrator, and so on. While Cosori can replicate many of these functions with manual settings, it would be harder.
So, which is better? That really comes down to how you want to use the air fryer. If you want simplicity and something that easily works, the Cosori is the winner. If you want something that replaces various appliances, then Instant Vortex is better.
