Nonstick cookware is so simple and easy to use, but surprisingly enough it’s sometimes seen as inferior to stainless steel and other materials. Today we’re covering two brands that break convention with premium quality. It’s Ninja Foodi Neverstick vs Granitestone Diamond cookware.
We’re going to compare these two based on being oven and dishwasher safe, their build quality, material, and maximum temperature. By the end of this you’ll know which is best in terms of Granitestone Diamond vs Ninja Foodi Neverstick.
To make things fair, we decided to look at the two best sets they offer, so we’re looking at Ninja Foodi Neverstick Premium and Granitestone Blue Diamond.
Some people don’t realize it, but every pot and pan has a maximum temperature that it can go to. Exceeding this temperature can lead to the pan warping, bending, or the coating coming off (not with these two, the nonstick coating is strong, but low-quality pans could be an issue).
That being said, you might be wondering what the maximum temperature is of Ninja and Granitestone Diamond Blue.
Both are exceptionally well built and withstand the same maximum temperature of 500°F. That’s amazing! This should be more than enough to easily sear your favorite cut of chicken, steak, or any other ingredients that you love. This also ensures that the Granitestone pan or Ninja Foodi pan won’t warp or bend under normal cooking conditions.
Only a few pans really exceed this, as we found out during our Ninja Neverstick vs Blue Diamond review. These exceptions aside, it’s tough to find nonstick cookware that can match this temperature.
We’re tied here, but let’s keep diving in to see what other differences we can find.
Granitestone Diamond vs Ninja Foodi Neverstick: Material
What are nonstick pans made out of? You’ve probably asked yourself this question many times. Unlike stainless steel pans that are obviously made from steel, many people don’t know what nonstick pots and pans are composed of. The truth is that many pans are different, so it’s good to check the material. Not only that, but this shows you whether the cookware is actually sturdy and gives you an idea of its special properties.
In this case, both Neverstick and Granite Stone Blue are made from aluminum. This is a great metal for cookware and many of the best nonstick cookware is made from aluminum (some have a stainless steel layer as well, but not in this case).
So, what does aluminum do in cookware? This metal is very lightweight and highly conductive. That means it heats up fast, but it also means that it cools down quickly once the stove is off. Some might see this as an advantage (you don’t need to wait long before cleaning the pan) while others might see it as a disadvantage (removing the pan from your heat source even for a few seconds can reduce the heat).
While they are both made from aluminum, we can’t quite call this a tie. We have to look at the thickness of these pans and Ninja Foodi pans are significantly thicker (especially if you get the Premium ones). This allows it to heat it up faster, hold more heat, and it makes the cookware much more durable.
Granitestone Blue pans are great (especially since the price is better), but we preferred the Ninja pans just a little bit more.
Ninja Foodi Neverstick vs Granitestone Diamond: Build Quality
We talked about the metal each pan is made from, but cookware is more than just metal. Every pot and pan comes with a handle, and both sets also come with a variety of tempered glass lids. This section is a bit of a tie because there’s something we like about each set.
Let’s look at the handles first. Ninja has very thick and large handles, which are amazing. You’ll have no problem getting a strong grip on heavy pots full of soup or pans with large steaks in them. Plus, the handles are longer so you can easily hold them. This includes the lids as well.
Granitestone pots and pans have thin handles by comparison. You can still get a strong grip and hold heavy pots and pans, but we preferred Ninja’s handles more. One thing we can say about both is that the handles are riveted directly to the body, so you’ll never have to worry about the Ninja or Granitestone handles coming loose.
We covered what we like about Ninja, so what do we prefer about Granitestone? Both of these sets come with tempered glass lids that are strong, durable, and great against high heats. However, the Granitestone Blue glass lids have a steam port so steam can easily escape as needed.
This always seems to improve the texture of food, and it’s more convenient that having a big cloud of steam hit you in the face when removing the lid. Ninja’s lids are great, but we like the steam port.
The nonstick coating for both is very different. Granitestone nonstick coating is applied in three layers and then reinforced with diamonds to make it super strong and resistant to sticking. The coating is also highly resistant to scratching and flaking, which ensures this can last a long time.
Ninja Foodi Premium (and the regular one as well) uses a proprietary bonding process that bonds ceramic plasma particles to the aluminum at 30,000°F. This ensures a very strong bond, and the pan is truly nonstick (or never-stick as it were).
Which is better? They are both almost equal. Ninja seems somewhat better, but they are fairly equal in this regard.
Oven and Dishwasher Safe?
There’s something so convenient about placing all your pots and pans in the dishwasher and having them get cleaned with little effort. And being able to place your cookware in the oven allows you to cook great meals with fewer cooking vessels, and that’s always great for you.
You might be wondering if one or both of these cookware sets are oven and dishwasher safe. Let’s take a look at them.
Is Granitestone Cookware Oven and Dishwasher Safe?
It doesn’t matter whether we’re talking about the lids, pots, pans, or bakeware. All the pieces from the Granitestone Blue collection are oven and dishwasher safe. This makes the whole set versatile and convenient.
Is Ninja Neverstick Oven and Dishwasher Safe?
Ninja pots, pans, and lids are all oven and dishwasher safe, which makes them very easy to use throughout your kitchen.
What’s the Difference Between Ninja Foodi Neverstick and Granitestone?
Curious about what’s the difference between Granitestone and Ninja Foodi Neverstick? There are several differences that we already highlighted. If you’re curious about how Neverstick measures up to other sets, then check out these reviews:

Ninja comes with larger and thicker handles for a better grip, but Granitestone had better lids with steam ports. Both are made to be strong and last for a long time, but Ninja uses thicker aluminum. Their nonstick coating is fantastic. Ninja uses plasma ceramic particles while Granitestone reinforces their coating with diamonds.
The only other major difference we can consider is what you’re getting in the set. Ninja is fairly straightforward with pots, pans, and lids. Granitestone Blue (along with Granitestone Green or Granitestone Red) have bakeware included with the pots, pans, and lids. This includes a muffin tin, loaf tin, and cookie sheets.
If you want bakeware, then Granitestone is more versatile. If not, then Ninja offers more sizes for their pots and pans.
So, which is better when it comes to Ninja Neverstick vs Granitestone Diamond Cookware? Both have their pros and cons. Ninja is the better of the two overall by using thicker aluminum, better handles, and a highly unique nonstick coating. Granitestone has its own benefits, such as steam ports on the lids and bakeware.
Which do you choose? Be sure to let us know.
