If you read our best air fryer oven review, then you saw that we compared four of the top brands to see which was the best of the bunch. Each one was different, but most had similarities. That’s not the case with our Ninja vs Emeril air fryer oven review. These two had the least number of similarities, so this should be an interesting read.

We are specifically comparing the Ninja Foodi Air Fryer Oven vs Emeril Lagasse Air Fryer Oven.

So, which is the best when it comes to Emeril vs Ninja air fryer oven? We are going to compare them based on functions, capacity, power, accessories, control panels, and whatever other differences we find.

Read on to see who wins.

Ninja vs Emeril: Functions

Every air fryer oven is a multifunctional wonder that has numerous cooking options. This allows you to cook various meals and ingredients with ease, plus, it makes the oven even more useful. From standard cooking to toasting to air frying, you’ll find air fryer ovens can do so much despite their small size.

That being said, which oven has more functions? Also, is there a difference in how useful they are?

Emeril Lagasse Air Fryer Oven Functions

  • Air Fry
  • Bake
  • Rotisserie
  • Dehydrate
  • Toast
  • Reheat
  • Roast
  • Broil
  • Bagel
  • Pizza
  • Slow Cook
  • Warm/Reheat

That’s a very good list of functions, and it shows you just how versatile this oven can be. How does the Ninja air fryer fare? Let’s compare.

Ninja Foodi Air Fryer Oven Functions

  • Air fry
  • Air roast
  • Air broil
  • Bake
  • Bagel
  • Toast
  • Dehydrate
  • Keep warm

While these functions are versatile and fantastic, you might notice that a few are missing when compared to the Emeril oven.

Some functions can be replicated, like pizza or reheat, but the one that can’t be replicated is rotisserie. Unlike many other air fryer ovens (PowerXL and Instant Omni), the Ninja Foodi oven can’t rotisserie cook a whole chicken. Some might be disappointed by this while others won’t care, so it really depends on your perspective.

Overall

Emeril does have more functions, but Ninja can replicate most of them. If you want to rotisserie cook, then Emeril is the definitive winner. If you don’t care about rotisserie cooking, then Emeril still wins, but Ninja can replicate most of the other functions with manual controls or similar programs.

Emeril vs Ninja: Capacity

Unlike most of the other sections here, this one isn’t going to have a definitive winner. It really depends on what type of capacity you’re looking for. Emeril is taller and big enough for a whole chicken, but Ninja offers more flat space. Let’s explain.

The Emeril Lagasse 360 toaster oven offers a lot of space and ensures that you and the whole family can make fantastic meals. This oven allows you to fit 6 burgers, 6 slices of bread, or a 10lb chicken. That ensures that you can make lots of food despite the small size. It can also cook a 12” pizza.

As you might recall, Ninja Foodi air fryer oven doesn’t have a rotisserie function and this is because the oven is shorter. However, that doesn’t mean it can hold less. In fact, it has more flat space, which allows it to fit 9 slices of bread, 9 burgers, 6 large chicken breasts, or a 13” pizza. In fact, we think it can probably hold a slightly larger pizza, but then it’ll be a little cramped.

Once again, it really comes down to that rotisserie function. If you want a rotisserie, then Emeril has the better capacity. Plus, it can fit taller ingredients with ease. However, if you think you’re going to use the air fryer oven more for burgers, steaks, chicken breasts, and other similarly shaped ingredients, then Ninja oven actually has better capacity.

So, what do you think you’re going to cook? Consider that, and you should have no problem deciding which one has the best capacity.

Power

Once again, this is going to be a tough one with our Ninja Foodi vs Emeril 360 review. Ninja comes packed with more power, but Emeril has a certain design decision that some might find appealing.

Let’s start with Ninja this time. The Ninja Foodi oven air fryer is rated at 1800W of power, which is really amazing. We think that air fryer ovens should be a minimum of 1200W, but 1500W is much better and 1800W is among the best. Instant Omni ties this, so consider that as well if you want a strong mini oven.

Emeril is good as well. The Emeril 360 XL is rated at 1500W. You might think this is a closed case and Ninja easily wins, but hold on one moment. Emeril is built with five heating elements, which is more than most toaster oven air fryers. This allows for more even heating.

So, which is better?

Power really allows the oven to heat up faster and to maintain its heat. That being said, we still think Ninja SP101 Foodi 8-in-1 Digital Air Fry is the winner. However, Emeril functions better than most other 1500W ovens.

Accessories

You really want to know what accessories you’re getting with an air fryer oven. Unlike some other appliances where accessories are nice but not necessary, they really are a requirement with these tiny ovens. Just trying cooking cheese, meats, or veggies without a pan or rack and see what happens.

So, does Ninja or Emeril have better accessories?

Emeril 360 Everyday Oven Accessories

  • Crisper tray
  • Rotisserie spit
  • Pizza rack
  • Baking pan
  • Drip tray
  • Emeril Lagasse cookbook (extra accessory!)

That’s a good mix of accessories. This ensures that you can cook just about anything, but what does the Ninja offer? We know it won’t have a rotisserie spit, but maybe it has something even better for your needs.

Ninja Foodi Air Fryer Oven Accessories

  • Wire rack
  • 13”x13” nonstick, dishwasher-safe pan
  • Air fry basket
  • Crump tray

While the Ninja Foodi accessories come up a little short, we do like the addition of the air fryer basket. This makes it easier when air frying ingredients to make them super crispy. Plus, while there aren’t many accessories, you do get enough to get the job done, so we can’t say that it’s bad.

Emeril has more accessories and they are better, but overall they are both good.

Control Panel

Both ovens have effective control panels that are easy to use. We did list them both as the top brands. But, is one better than the other? They are very different, so we think you’ll find one you prefer over the other.

Both of them use a combination of buttons and dials. The difference is that Emeril includes more buttons overall along with extra dials. We can’t say it’s more accurate due to these extra buttons, but there are more to play around with. Ninja is more simplified with only one dial and a couple of buttons, which prevents the control panel from feeling crowded.

There is also the display. Emeril has a bright blue screen that shows you the cooking function, time, temp, and other important information. Ninja Foodi oven has a digital display, but the top is curved. It’s hard to say if this is better because it was easier to see at certain angles, but harder at others.

Overall, both are good. Emeril is good if you like playing around with more buttons while Ninja is better for those who only want a few buttons to push.

What is the Difference Between Ninja and Emeril Air Fryer Ovens?

Curious about the differences between Emeril and Ninja air fryer ovens? We covered many of them already, but let’s wrap them up.

Emeril has many more functions (including rotisserie cooking) and better accessories, plus it has the unique five heating elements. Ninja on the other hand is much stronger and provides more flat space for more burgers, chicken breasts, larger pizzas, and more.

There is one unique design decision about the Ninja that we haven’t covered yet. Air fry ovens are meant to be convenient and easy to fit on your counter. Most are built like the Emeril, which means they are cube-like and boxy. Think of a toaster oven or microwave.

However, the Ninja is slim. Not only that, but it’s built to flip up when you’re not using it. This allows you to keep the counter free until you’re ready to cook. If space is at a premium, then you might love this feature.

Final Thoughts

So, who wins when it comes to Ninja Foodi vs Emeril Lagasse ovens? It’s hard to pick a specific winner, so it depends on what you need. If you’re looking for the most functions, rotisserie cooking, and good accessories, then Emeril is the winner. If you prefer power and space is at a premium, then Ninja Foodi is the superior pi
