Every Instant Pot appliance comes with multiple functions, and the Instant Pot Omni toaster ovens are no exception. Both versions have at least 10 functions and these allow you to cook a variety of meals and ingredients. While the Pro Omni has more functions, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s better than the Plus Omni.
Not only that, but there are actually two versions of the Instant Omni Plus. Don’t worry, we’re going to include both here.
So, let’s look at all the functions.

That is a tremendous number of functions. One you might be curious about is split cooking. What is the Instant Omni Pro’s split cooking function? It’s actually a customizable setting you’re sure to love.
This allows you to select two temperatures or cooking functions that run in sequence. Let’s say that you want to start with toasting and then finish with the broiler (sounds perfect for Instant Pot pizza bagels!). Normally you’d need to push these manually one after the other. Now you can easily select both settings and wait until the recipe is done.

Let’s follow this up with the Instant Omni Plus. As we said, there are two versions, a 10-in-1 and an 11-in-1.

All three are very similar, but there are two big differences the Pro air fryer oven offers that you won’t get with the Plus version. This comes with a temperature probe and the Split Cooking function. It’s an easy win for Pro in the Pro vs Plus Instant Omni review, but we will say that Plus offers a lot of great functions as well.
Instant Omni Plus vs Pro: Capacity
The best air fryer toaster oven is able to hit that sweet spot of being large enough to cook large meals, but small enough to conveniently sit on your countertop. Our Instant Omni Pro review and Instant Omni Plus review found that all three models are at the perfect size for this.
Now, there are minor differences in their measurements with one being slightly taller and another being somewhat wider, but honestly, all three offer the same capacity. There have been no real differences between them.
Whether you’re getting the Instant Omni Pro 14-in-1 or any of the others, they all have an 18L capacity. That means it’s big enough for 6 burgers, 6 slices of bread, a 10lb chicken, or a 12” inch pizza. Plus, they all offer two rack options, which allows you to cook more at once.
It’s a tie between all three. Plus, since the price is basically the same between all three (Pro is only a little more expensive), we can’t say you’re getting better value from Plus in this regard.

Power
This is basically the same as the capacity section as it’s a tie between all of them.
Whether we’re talking about Instant Omni vs Instant Omni Plus vs Instant Omni Pro, all of them have the same power rating of 1800W. You might be surprised to see that the power hasn’t been updated at all, but honestly we can see why. In fact, if you read our Best Air Fryer Oven review, then you’d know that air fryer ovens usually start at 1200W at minimum and that 1500W is considered quite good. Yes, 1800W is better, and only a few ovens have this power rating (such as the Ninja oven).
What does power do in an air fryer oven? This is useful for helping the oven reach its intended temperature and to stay there (especially when you’re loading frozen foods).
However, we will say that Pro has Golden Quartz Technology, which ensures even faster heating. It’s not due to the power, but rather the use of superior materials, and it makes a significant difference.
The Instant Pot Omni oven is able to heat quickly and stay at the intended temperature, no matter which model you choose.

Accessories
Accessories are essential when it comes to convenient ovens like this. The accessories allow you to easily cook different ingredients, and to take advantage of the rack positions. Every Omni has two different rack positions, and you can fill both with the pans and trays that you get.
That being said, which Instant Omni has the best accessories? All three are similar, but they do offer different items. Let’s examine them.

The only thing it lacks is the temperature probe. The Plus 11-in-1 is slightly older and the accessories aren’t quite as good, but they’re versatile and handy.
Pro wins this section, but both Plus versions aren’t that far behind.

Control Panel
All three have fantastic control panels, and for very different reasons. What we will say is that all three are very easy to control, have lots of settings that you can easily switch between, and they truly function like small ovens.
The Instant Omni Pro has digital buttons like what you would find on a newer oven. These can be used to switch between functions, temperatures, and other options. The Instant Omni Plus 11-in-1 has almost all physical buttons. There are two knobs along with a dedicated button for every cooking function. The Instant Omni Plus 10-in-1 is a mix as it primarily has digital buttons, but it also has a center knob for controlling the temperature.
We think that most people would prefer the Pro’s control panel, but the Plus 11-in-1 has a distinct charm that we love.
It’s a tie between them as all three are simple to control and very responsive.
What are the differences between Instant Omni Pro and Plus?
Curious about the differences between Instant Omni Plus and Pro? We covered many of them already. They each have different cooking functions, accessories, and control panels. They all have the same power rating, though Pro is made with superior materials for better heating, and the same capacity.
There are some other differences that we found.
Omni Pro has seven toasting levels. While all of the ovens offer a toasting option, only Pro allows you to select a specific toasting shade from light to dark. This makes it easy to make the bread (or bagel, or any other item) as dark as you want it without sitting around and watching.
Another different is Even Crisp Technology. This is available with the Pro and Plus 10-in-1. This basically enhances the air frying feature and ensures that your food is crispier than ever. While you can still get very crispy food with the Plus 11-in-1, there is a noticeable difference between them.

Final Thoughts
So, where do we stand with Instant Omni Plus vs Instant Omni Pro? In general, Pro is the better model of the bunch. It has more features, better heating, better accessories, more options, and is built with more modern materials. While Plus is somewhat less expensive, we think you’re getting much more from the Pro and suggest that model overall.
All three are truly amazing. However, Pro is the best and is only somewhat more expensive. Unless you’re really looking to save money, then we suggest the Pro as the best air fryer oven.
